FAQ
Straight answers, including the ones that send you elsewhere.
Gas smells go to the utility. Boilers go to a boiler company. ZIPs outside the loop do not get a truck.
What does a visit cost before anyone opens the cabinet?
The sample diagnostic fee is $89 during shop hours, Monday through Saturday, 7:00 to 7:00. It comes off the bill if you approve the repair on that visit. After-hours no-heat and no-cool carries a sample trip fee of $149. These are demo figures, not a quote.
How soon can someone come if there is no heat?
No-heat and no-cool go out before tune-ups. While the board is open, that usually means the same day. After 7:00 and on Sunday, the on-call tech takes those two calls and lets maintenance wait until morning.
Which neighborhoods do you actually run?
Denver and the inner suburbs: Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Wheat Ridge, Englewood, Littleton, Centennial, Golden, Highlands Ranch, and Parker. Boulder, Castle Rock, Evergreen, and Brighton are outside the loop. The service-area page will tell you from the ZIP before you book a truck we will not send.
What equipment do you work on?
Forced-air gas furnaces, central air conditioners, and air-source heat pumps. We do not take steam or hot-water boilers, swamp coolers, or window units.
Can a replacement be financed?
A third-party lender can spread a replacement over monthly payments if you are approved. This site does not take the application and does not pull credit. The financing page shows a sample payment so the scale is clear before anyone visits.
What is included in the membership?
Two visits a year on one system: a fall heating check and a spring cooling check, the diagnostic fee waived, and 10% off repair labor. A second system is a higher yearly price, not a second contract. It runs one year and does not renew unless you say so. Sample prices: $189 and $276.
Do replacements get a permit?
Equipment replacements that require a permit get one, and the inspection is part of the job. It is not a line that appears after you have already said yes.
What if I smell gas, or the carbon-monoxide alarm is going off?
Leave the house. If anyone feels sick, or a CO alarm is sounding, call 911. For a gas odor, call Xcel Energy at 1-800-895-2999. Call Highline after the utility has cleared the house.
Why are the reviews marked sample?
Highline Heating & Air is a fictional company, built as a case study. The quotes on this site were written for the demo. A live version of this page would publish reviews the shop can stand behind, with the same layout.
